The battery, ignition system, high tension leads, the engine and axle oil and the filters (and for gasoline units, the spark plugs) are replaced irrespective of wear. Other parts are checked for wear and replaced where needed. The engine compression is tested and gaskets checked for leaks. If there is any sign of excessive wear, the engine is replaced with an exchange unit. The cooling system is checked and worn or broken hoses replaced. Fluid levels are checked and refilled when necessary.
